Twilight actor Robert Pattinson recently recalled his “incredible” experience during the filming of Dune 3. While speaking to GQ, Pattinson said that his time on set was something you’d only be a part of if you’re in the acting scene.
“You’ll never experience these things in any other profession,” Pattinson said. “I mean, literally, I was experiencing things which hardly anybody in history has or will ever experience, and it’s just absolutely incredible.”

Somewhere in the conversation, Pattinson also mentioned working alongside Zendaya, who’s reprising her role as Chani. He stated that working in the desert was initially strange, but after chatting with Zendaya, everything fell into place.
“Being out in the desert shooting Dune, it’s weird,” Pattinson reminisced. “I remember shooting a scene with Zendaya, the first scene we shot together out in the desert, I’m like, ‘Oh! We’re, like, in Dune!’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah . . . we’re doing a Dune movie.’ But it really was like, ‘It really feels like you’re in a Dune movie.’ It was really, really fun.”
Sources are saying that Pattinson may play the movie’s villain, Scytale. Nothing has been confirmed yet, though.

The third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Jason Momoa, who are all reprising their roles from the first two movies. Villeneuve also returns as director, continuing the vision he began with the franchise. In the last film, Chani, played by Zendaya, left Paul after he led the Fremen into war. That’s different from the book, where she stays with him. So this next movie may need to adjust parts of the story to match what Villeneuve already set up.
