Netflix has shared the first look at its new live-action show, Scooby-Doo: Origins, which takes inspiration from the Scooby-Doo franchise. In an exclusive picture, which can be seen as the main image of this article, Scooby-Doo is nowhere to be seen. However, the Mystery Inc. Group is in plain sight. To sum it up, the series adds a fresh take on the classic Scooby-Doo story and goes back to their very first mystery.
The cast includes McKenna Grace as Daphne, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred. There are no details about Scooby because he’ll most likely be added later using special effects. Filming has started in Atlanta, but there’s no release date as of yet.

The story follows Shaggy and Daphne during their last summer at camp. They get caught up in a creepy mystery involving a lost Great Dane puppy that might have seen a supernatural murder. With Velma and a new kid named Freddy, they try to solve the case, but it starts to uncover secrets about all of them.
The show will have 8 episodes and is based on the famous Scooby-Doo series that’s been around for over 50 years.
