Marvel Drops First Trailer For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Marvel has dropped the first-ever trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. Set at Xavier’s School, the video begins with Doctor Doom declaring that there’s a big threat that may be undefeatable. The scene pans to Professor X seeing two universes clashing and then Thor warning his team at the Avengers Tower, saying they may “need a miracle” to attack what’s ahead.

In other parts of the trailer, Namor can be seen meeting up with Shuri in Atlantis. Fans also see Cyclops preparing for battle, and Gambit fighting Shang-Chi.

The biggest jaw-dropper comes when Thor attacks Doctor Doom with Stormbreaker, but Doom stops the weapon with just two fingers. Instead of playing Iron Man like he usually does in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr is playing Doomie instead.

The trailer closes with a shocking appearance by Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, who returns and once again lifts Mjolnir.

Other heroes that’ll be fighting for justice in the film are Thor, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Bucky Barnes, Ant-Man, Falcon, Shuri, M’Baku, Namor, and Loki. The X-Men are back as well, featuring Professor X, Beast, Magneto, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Gambit. Shang-Chi is also part of the lineup.

The Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four make a special cameo too, including Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, Ghost, and Bob. Fantastic Four-wise, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm are tagging along for the action.

Avengers: Doomsday is still set to premiere on December 18, 2026, which also happens to be Dune 3‘s release date as well.
