The cat and mouse love-hate relationship comes to the big screen in a live-action and cartoon hybrid. The cast is coming along, plus the two recent additions of Dead Pool 2, Rob Delaney and The Hangover’s Ken Jeong.
Tim Story, Adam Goodman and Chris DeFaria come together to produce the upcoming Tom and Jerry film that will star Ken Jeong, Rob Delaney, Jordan Bolger Pallavi Sharda, Colin Jost, Chloe Grace Moretz and Michael Pena.
The oscar winning 1940 house cat Tom comes to New York City with his rival (bestfriend), Jerry the mouse after being kicked out of their home. The cat and mouse find themselves reunited in the luxurious Park Hotel under ill-fated conditions. The new employee of the hotel, Chloë Grace Moretz character, Kayla hires the alley cat to hunt the pessimist mouse out before a grand high-class wedding. While very animated, Tom and Jerry will carry out their iconic shenanigans in silence. Don’t expect the same from for your theater neighbors, as we predict a lot of laughing, some sobbing and many interjections. Who knows how this hide-and-go-seek match is going to end?
A release date for Tom and Jerry has not yet been set.
Other live-action, animation mixes were looking forward to are Scooby Doo and Space Jam 2.
