Super Bowl Sunday is always one of the most satisfying Sundays of the year for moviegoers. Tons of trailers and commercial collabs get revealed in between intermissions leading laughs in the living room. Disney has officially confirmed a trailer for Mulan coming this Sunday with a Super Bowl TV spot that shows more what’s to come for the Warrior action.
This new adaptation of Mulan directed by Niki Caro, starring Liu Yifei as the titular warrior brings the classic animated princess story to reality. The film cast list includes Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Jason Scott Lee, Gong Li, Yoson An, Tzi Ma,Rosalind Chao and unfortunately no Mushu (the talking dragon of the animated story).
Disney’s announcement came with footage that makes this film really special, the mix of culture and women strength being adapted into live-action is worth a watch especially during the times today. A trailer added to the Super Bowl reveals is perfect as this film isn’t just for the young ladies, it’s a family vibe.
