“Fear does not exist in my body. Fear does not exist in my home. Love exists in my body. Love exists in my home.” said Lizzo, as she lead her 8.4 million Instagram followers on a 30-minute mass meditation this morning (March 13).
Last night, the “Good as Hell” singer shared a selfie accompanied by an uplifting caption: “Goin’ live tomorrow morning to do a mass meditation, we need healing from fear during this global crisis,” she wrote. “If you with me, join me with a high vibration and any sanitizer you got.” And this morning, the performer delivered her powerful promise, going live on Instagram with a meditation session that served as a refreshing response to the mass panic being caused by the spread of COVID-19.
Like many other artists, Lizzo’s headlining performance at Houston Rodeo today was canceled. So, instead she abandoned the role of entertainer and assumed that of a spiritual guide leading her followers into a deep relaxation void of any virus anxiety. The virtual event kicked off with a soothing play of flute, surrounded by crystals, a single smoke signal of incense rising into the perfect frame of an iPhone camera, and the melodic sound of Lizzo’s voice as she randomly shared her thoughts, affirmations and sentiments.
“There’s the disease, and then there is the fear of the disease. And I think fear can spread so much hatred, and fear can spread so much negative energy, and fear can spread the disease.”
Lizzo
As Lizzo concluded her half hour of guiding her fans into ascension via deep breathing exercises and instrumental music she stated the following: “Be healthy, be vigilant, but don’t be afraid. We’re in this together. We’ll get through this together. Because we always do. We’re not going to let fear become the next pandemic. Namaste.”
