Netflix recently unveiled that they’ll be releasing the fifth season to their show Lucifer sometime in late 2020 via Twitter. This season will mark the show’s finale as well. However, season five will come in two parts. The second part will premiere in 2021. According to the Buzz Paper, Lucifer will still be filled with drama and thriller. The series previously aired on Fox, but Netflix took over once Fox canceled the series after three seasons last year. The revival came after a massive fan campaign to save the show.
“We are thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for,” said one of Netflix’s representatives to Hollywood Reporter.
Tom Ellis leads Lucifer. The show also stars Dennis Haysbert, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B Woodside, Lesley–Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia.
