A24 has gotten approval to drop the world’s first-ever R-rated musical comedy called F*cking Identical Twins. It’s based on Aaron Jackson, Josh Sharp, and Saint Lucy’s two-person stage show that premiered at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014. The film will star the three original cast members, Nathan Lane, Megan Mullaly, Bowen Yang, and Megan Thee Stallion.
F*cking Identical Twins is depicted as “a subversive musical spin on The Parent Trap, following two business adversaries who realize they’re identical twin brothers and decide to switch places to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again.”
Marius de Vries will act as the film’s Executive Music Producer. Fiora Cutler will serve as the film’s music supervisor and assist with the cast’s musical direction.
