Brazilian pop-star Anitta joined forces with Cardi B and Latin sensation Myke Towers to deliver new single and music video, “Me Gusta.” Backed by the infectious beat of Brazilian funk, this record is brimming with feel good energy.
The trio turned a beautiful plaza in Salvador, Brazil, into a fabulous catwalk surrounded by exotically dressed models. Anitta rocks a plethora of bright outfits, and even an elaborately detailed rainbow dress as she pays homage to her hometown of Rio De Janeiro, which is widely recognized for its tasteful use of colors. Cardi B equally reps for Afro-Latinas everywhere as she raps, “I have the spice of an Afro-Latina/And I move my waist like Shakira/La Cardi and Anitta, two fly mamacitas/Bad bitches, I like them all,” while donning a lavender corset, and a massive rose-covered skirt.
“Me Gusta,” can be interpreted as a celebration of sexually fluid, non conforming women as Anitta sings, “A mí me gustan las mujeres/When they shake their ya ya ya/A mí gusta when they want /They go and get it, ya ya ya,” (I like women when they shake their ya ya ya) and Cardi supports this by rapping, “I like girls that kiss on girls, eso me pone on fiya ya ya.”
