Lionsgate confirmed the upcoming comedy Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar bought to us by the Bridesmaids writters will be in theaters July 31,2020.
Two bestfriends take a vacation from their small Midwestern town to Vista Del Mar, Floridia. In their travels they touch romance and adventure and then a sharp left turn into a villians super evil plan to kill everyone in town.
The titular bestfriends will be played by Annie Mumolo and Kristen Wiig (writters of comedy Bridesmaids) – Mumolo as Barb, Wiig as Star. Jamie Dornan (The Fall), and Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Together) will also star in the comedy.
Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar is produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Kristen Wiig, Annie Mumolo, and Jessica Elbaum’s female-focused production company Gloria Sanchez Productions.
