Featured Scoop of the Day
Ben Affleck has unveiled his latest Super Bowl commercial for Dunkin’, and it introduces an even more intriguing cast within the already distinctive cinematic universe.
This time, he is joined by a variety of familiar faces, including his brother Casey Affleck, “Succession” actor Jeremy Strong, the legendary former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, and Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block fame.
Wait, There’s More?!
As if that weren’t exciting enough, the iconic pair of Jay and Silent Bob, portrayed by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, make a memorable cameo in the extended version of the ad. Titled “DunKings 2: The Movie” this year’s commercial presents an exhilarating blend of film and coffee culture, filled with delightful chaos.
What the Showcase Reveal
First showcased as a 60-second spot during Super Bowl LIX, the extended version of the ad dives much deeper into the narrative established in last year’s “DunKings” saga. This time, it transports Ben Affleck and his crew to Java Jam, a fictional competition reminiscent of a battle-of-the-bands, where coffee brands face off in a quest for dominance. In a cheeky twist, Affleck dismisses the absence of Matt Damon and Tom Brady, declaring, “Forget those suckers; they don’t possess the heart of a champion.” Instead, he enlists the expertise of Bill Belichick, who takes on the role of roasting their rivals in a humorous way.
“Sounds like something you’d hear coming from my garbage disposal,” he jokes after hearing the Barista Buds’ overly complicated coffee order. You tell them, Bill; we prefer our coffee black too.”
At the same time, Strong fully embraces method acting by tuning out Brian Cox’s teasing and literally immersing himself in Dunkin’ coffee grounds to prepare for the upcoming event. The ad cleverly mocks the coffee industry’s more pretentious drinks, with Casey Affleck delivering a sharp remark: “Nobody wants a goat milk double half-caf soy milk cappuccino. Just brew it already; it’s just beans and water.”

Long before Ben Affleck took the reins of Dunkin’s coffee-infused cinematic universe, he was already interconnected with the brand, thanks to his Boston upbringing and his well-known love for Dunkin’ coffee—an affection shared by many. Throughout the years, his Super Bowl commercials have solidified his reputation as the undisputed monarch of Dunkin’.
In his inaugural Dunkin’ advertisement, which premiered during the 2023 Super Bowl, Affleck was seen operating the drive-thru at a Dunkin’ store, serving a series of unsuspecting customers. The standout moment came when Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance; as she drove up, she caught her husband in the act and playfully challenged him with, “What are you doing? Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work?”
In 2024, Affleck took things a step further by creating a fictional boy band named “The DunKings,” which he formed with none other than Matt Damon and Tom Brady. Their Super Bowl commercial showcased the trio decked out in coordinated Dunkin’ tracksuits as they energetically performed their catchy anthem, “Don’t Dunk Away at My Heart.”
