Netflix’s new animated movie Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory has added more actors to its voice cast. Nicola Coughlan, Charithra Chandran, Samson Kayo, Christopher Chung, Kate Winslet, and Helena Bonham Carter are joining the movie. They will working alongside Kit Connor, who voices Charlie, and Taika Waititi, who voices Willy Wonka.
The story follows Willy Wonka after he gets out of prison. He was sent to prison after turning a child into a blueberry. Now back at his chocolate factory, Wonka wants to make the world happier. But Charlie and his friends have a problem. Their homes are in danger, so they decide to sneak into Wonka’s factory, steal a Wonka Bar, and try to save their homes.
Of course, things don’t go as planned. The kids soon find out that Wonka’s factory is full of strange and dangerous surprises.
The movie is directed by Jared Stern and Elaine Bogan. Aron Warner and Timothy Yoo are producing the film, while Taika Waititi is also an executive producer.
The movie will have new songs, new characters, and some familiar faces. It will also give the Wonka story a new animated look. Kit Connor said he is excited about the movie and believes fans will enjoy the new version of the story. Taika Waititi also said he is excited to play Willy Wonka because the character is very special to him.
The movie will be in theaters on November 5, 2027, before coming to Netflix on December 22.
