During a meet-and-greet in Atlanta, GA, DaBaby met a woman named Amanda who he emphasized with.
According to the video posted on his Instagram page, Amanda is a single mother who currently lives in her car. Once she found out that DaBaby was visiting the ATL, she waited in line for three hours to meet him. But she had no intentions of hovering over the artist. Instead, she asked if he could buy some of the hand-knit hats she was selling in order to support her sons daily essentials.
Without hesitation, the rapper did a gesture of goodwill.
Humbly, DaBaby gifted her with $1,000 and took a picture with Amanda and her son (who wouldn’t keep his eyes off of a YouTube video but still gleamed his pearly whites.)
In the clip’s caption, he wrote “GOD’s WORK. No recognition needed.”
Looks like DaBaby’s heart has always been in the right place.
