Just yesterday, David Guetta and Sia finally released the highly anticipated new song “Let’s Love” . This dynamic musical duo has finally reunited to publish their ninth collaboration together. David Guetta has worked with Sia in the past with some of her classic popular hits of the previous two decades, such as “Titanium”, “She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)”, “Flames”, and “Wild One”. Despite many new artists that quickly rose to fame in 2018 and 2019 and have been at the top of the charts since 2020, Sia is still very popular and her unique voice is still loved by many. Both artists are very accomplished, as David Guetta has had a shocking 38 of his songs on the Top 40 Hits, and Sia has had an equally impressive 14 of hers on the same chart. Now, with it being a few years since the duo has worked together and being in the middle of the pandemic, the pair surprisingly has resurfaced.
The song is very passionate and very fitting for the times. The theme is very optimistic, as Sia repeatedly sings the lines “This too shall pass, this too shall pass/ And we’ll get through it all together… Let’s love”. During the Covid-19 pandemic, people all over the world have dealt with countless setbacks. People have dealt with the lockdowns and the worst of quarantining but they have gotten through it as life is slowly getting better. In a time like this, it is especially important for one to be around people who can love them, support them, and provide an environment in which people care for each other; whether that is family, friends, or a partner. Hearing Sia encourage this kind of environment is what many people need to lift themselves up, stay positive, and enjoy themselves in this different kind of time.
