Shameless star Emmy Rossum is set to act in AppleTV+’s upcoming drama series, The Crowded Room. Rossum will play Danny Sullivan’s mother, Candy. Danny Sullivan is played by Spiderman: Homecoming’s lead actor, Tom Holland. Candy is described as a woman who is “always looking for a man to fulfill her dreams of salvation.”
The 10-episode show takes inspiration from the creator Akiva Goldsman’s life and Daniel Keyes’ biography The Minds of Billy Milligan.
The Crowded Room explores the lives of those who have “struggled and learned to live with mental illness successfully.”
