‘Five Nights At Freddy’s’ Movie Trailer Officially Drops

The official trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s has officially debuted! Universal Studios released the movie trailer on Tuesday (June 27). Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the popular horror video game of the same name, will premiere on Peacock and in theaters on Oct 27. 

In the trailer, The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson plays a security guard who accepts a night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza to get extra cash. During that time, he discovers that the abandoned entertainment center is possessed by evil animatronics who are out to get him.

“The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse brings ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ to the big screen,” the logline reads. “The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”

Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi. The storyline takes inspiration from a screenplay Tammi co-wrote with game creators Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. 

The horror film also stars Matthew Lillard, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail, and Kat Conner Sterling.
