Scoop of the Day: Dreamville Festival’s New Chapter
J. Cole had previously announced that his Dreamville Festival, which celebrates North Carolina’s culture and talent, would be wrapping up this year, just a few years after its launch in 2018.
However, during a press conference last week, Sascha Stone Guttfreund, a promoter with Dreamville and Roc Nation, revealed that the festival will continue under a new name.

What to Expect
While specific details are still scarce, Guttfreund shared plans to continue hosting major music events in Raleigh for the foreseeable future.
“We’re committed to being here for many years ahead. This is a multi-year agreement, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with the city of Raleigh on something fresh and exciting, while building on the fantastic legacy we’ve established over the years,” he said.
He also announced that the new festival will be held at Dorothea Dix Park for at least the next four years. Raleigh City Manager Marchell Adams-David added,
“We’ll be leveraging the Dreamville brand to some extent. While it’s likely J. Cole won’t be headlining, his involvement is certain. He resides in this community and is deeply dedicated to both this festival and the people here.”

Ib Hamad, J. Cole’s longtime manager and business partner, emphasized the importance of preserving the festival’s community spirit: “We refer to it as our family reunion. People from around the globe and all 50 states come together for this event, and it’s wonderful to host it right here in North Carolina.”
Featuring Artists
The final installment of J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival took place this past weekend, featuring headliners such as J. Cole, Lil Wayne, the Hot Boys, Big Tymers, Erykah Badu, and 21 Savage.
