Jo Koy, a stand-up comedian, will star in ABC’s Filipino American Sitcom Josep. Likewise, he will executive produce the series. The plot is described as a “sitcom that follows a Filipino American nurse as he navigates dating, fatherhood, and his mother moving in with him.”
Koy is known for his stand-up comedy, where he tells stories about his life growing up in a Filipino household and raising his son.
He has other Netflix specials like Jo Koy: Live From Seattle and Jo Koy: Comin’ In Hot. His most recent special, In His Elements, spotlights Filipino culture. Koy will star in the upcoming comedy Easter Sunday which is based on his life experiences.
