Landing onshore in time for fall, Lil Yachty announces that he will be dropping a new album titled Lil Boat 3 in October. Although the date is for keeps, Lil Yachty lets loose to XXL about the features to come. According to the fun-spirited emcee, Lil Boat 3 will include production from Ronny J, Pi’erre Bourne, EarlThePearl, GoneMad even The Alchemist, who recently released his own body of work titled Yacht Rock 2.
“I haven’t really worked with any artists,” Yachty shares with XXL “This may be my album [with the least features].”
Speaking of which, Yachty admits Playboi Carti and Oliver Tree will be collaborates on Lil Boat 3. Ultimately, the album will consistently ride earwaves. But it really comes as no surprise. Like mentioned in his song “Go Krazy, Go Stupid Freestyle,” he sees more water than the Navy because of a constant grind and complex artistry. Referencing back to his XXL interview, Yachty is “focused on solidifying the sound and direction of his next opus.” For now, deep dive into his features on Quality Control’s album Control the Streets, Vol. 2. Yachty plans on releasing another mixtape titled D to the A sometime in the future.
