Marvel is giving fans a first look at a brand-new Avengers team, featuring popular heroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine. The new series comes from acclaimed writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto.
The story takes place after the events of Avengers: Armageddon and follows a very different version of the Marvel Universe. After a major battle with Red Hulk, the world has been left badly damaged. The Avengers have also been disbanded, but Earth still needs heroes to protect it.
The new team will include Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Wolverine, Luke Cage, and a mysterious powerhouse whose identity has not been revealed. Together, they must protect a broken world that no longer fully trusts them.
Marvel describes the story as a new group of heroes coming together after Avengers: Armageddon to fight for the future of the Marvel Universe.
The first issue will also feature True Believers Blind Bags. These special sealed bags contain exclusive variant covers that fans cannot normally order. Some bags will even include rare, hand-drawn sketch covers from surprise artists.
The regular cover and standard open-to-order variants will not be included in the Blind Bags.
Fans who want to catch up before the new series begins can check out Avengers: Armageddon, a five-issue limited series that is already available. The series features work from Chip Zdarsky, Delio Diaz, and Frank Alpizar.
Avengers #1 will be available at comic book stores everywhere on November 4, 2026.
