Michael B. Jordan Plans The Perfect Heist In ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ Trailer

Michael B. Jordan plays the role of a skilled thief in the first teaser trailer for The Thomas Crown Affair. Although the movie isn’t debuting in theaters until next year, Amazon MGM Studios has given fans a first look. The screenplay was written by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall and is based on a story by Alan R. Trustman and Pearce. Meanwhile, Jordan is directing the movie. The film is a new version of the 1968 The Thomas Crown Affair, which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.

The teaser introduces billionaire Thomas Crown, who comes up with a clever plan to steal a priceless painting while police are distracted by another robbery. After pulling off the heist, Crown talks about the high adrenaline he felt during the crime. It also shows the movie’s main battle between Crown and an insurance investigator. As they try to outsmart each other, they also begin to fall in love.

In one scene Jordan says, “I’ve been taking risks my entire life, but last night it was different. I felt alive. My heart was racing. Every step was part of a plan. Things slowed down. It was silent, and I was surprised how easy it was. But I’m not finished yet.”

Amazon MGM Studios describes The Thomas Crown Affair as a stylish and emotional heist thriller, saying the most dangerous person is the one nobody expects. The movie also stars Adria Arjona, Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk, and Aiysha Hart. Arjona plays the insurance investigator after Taylor Russell left the project during filming.
