The worlds of entertainment, media, music, and film came together for an exclusive movie night as The Feature Presentation hosted another Movie Night Live With DJ Suss One. Bringing an accomplished mix of industry professionals, digital creators, tastemakers, and familiar faces together for a special screening of the highly anticipated DC Studios production, Clayface.
Hosted by renowned DJ and media personality DJ Suss One, the gathering offered an opportunity for guests to experience one of DC’s darker cinematic ventures while connecting with other creatives and professionals across the entertainment landscape. With the film preparing to introduce audiences to a chilling new chapter in the DC Universe, the evening placed the spotlight on a project that ventures beyond traditional superhero storytelling and into the unsettling territory of psychological horror and physical transformation.
A Darker Side Of The DC Universe
Directed by James Watkins, Clayface explores the disturbing transformation of Matt Hagen, an aspiring Hollywood actor whose life takes a devastating turn after he is disfigured by a criminal. Seeking to reclaim his appearance and his former life, Hagen turns to experimental science, setting off a horrifying transformation that threatens both his identity and his humanity. Featuring Tom Rhys Harries, Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, David Dencik, and Eddie Marsan, the film introduces a body-horror approach to a character with deep roots in DC Comics lore.
Rather than relying solely on conventional superhero spectacle, Clayface explores the darker consequences of ambition, identity, appearance, and the lengths someone might go to reclaim what has been taken from them. Its unsettling premise positions the film as a distinct addition to DC Studios’ expanding cinematic slate. With its October theater release approaching, the screening offered an opportunity for attendees to experience the film ahead of its wider audience rollout.
