“Mimosa” is a feel-good hip-hop offering that finds Nesha Nycee spitting quickwitted bars and punchlines about taking the bad with the good. After all, life is too short not to bask it in. Tasha Catour provides the peppy, warm soundscape, pairing playful hi-hats with ethereal back vocals and complex bassline.

Then, Nesha Nycee addresses misdemeanors aimed at African American men, telling others to pay their respects for the OG’s who paved the way. Before closing off, she says that melanin individuals are royalty.
“Free them kings locked up in them chains/Pour some more champagne for the pain,” she raps along with “Royalty on everything that’s how we came.”
