According to Deadline, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, known as the “stream queen,” is set to showcase her talents in a new Netflix series. On this project, she will collaborate with Emma Roberts and other industry professionals like Marlene King and Alexandra Milchan.
The collaboration between King and Alexandra Milchan led to the series’ development, with Milchan joining as a writer and showrunner. Additionally, WME, representing both Kardashian and King, facilitated the partnership, and soon Emma Roberts, Kardashian’s co-star from American Horror Story, will be joining them.
Milchan’s producer credentials encompass projects such as Tár, The Killer, and The Wolf of Wall Street. She has also been involved in two Apple TV+ series: Blackbird and The Crowded Room.
Meanwhile, King is known for her work on successful shows like Pretty Little Liars and its spin-off series Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. King is set to executive produce PPL: Original Sin‘s upcoming season, which premieres on May 8. Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, has another project to add to her list of accomplishments with Calabasas.
The show, based on Via Bleidner’s book If You Lived Here, You’d Be Famous By Now, follows the story of a 16-year-old sheltered Catholic schoolgirl whose life changes drastically when her family decides to move. She must adapt to a new environment by attending Calabasas High School, facing life challenges and new experiences along the way.
