Bob’s Burgers first premiered on January 9th, 2011 and featured the Belcher family, a family of five who own and live atop their very own burger restaurant. Mother, father, 2 daughters and a son, the Belchers are a quirky and unique family who captured audiences’ hearts almost as fast as they took the screen with their unique brand of humor that has proven successful for over a decade now. Subsequently it is no surprise that the Belcher family would eventually make their way to theaters, and fans have been teeming with anticipation and counting down the days until The Bobs Burger Movie hits theaters. Well now we have all the details: the film is set in the summer, the Belchers are setting up their burger show in anticipation of a successful summer only for an “enormous sinkhole” to open up in the street and block their entrance, forcing the parents to get creative while their children “try to solve a mystery that could save the family’s restaurant.” Sounds pretty on brand for something you’d expect to see in Bob’s Burgers, and fans can continue counting down the days until The Bob’s Burgers Movie premieres in theaters on May 27th.
When any successful series runs for twelve seasons, it is of virtually no surprise when a movie based upon said series ends up being made. Bob’s Burgers was just next in line, and rightfully so.
