Blumhouse has teased the release date for their brand-new Spawn movie. Based on the Image Comics character and the 1997 Warner Bros. movie, Spawn will soon be in production.
Jason Blum, CEO of Blumhouse and producer of Insidious: The Red Door, recently told ComicBook.com that they hope to push out the film by 2025. Currently, the script is still in its beginning stages and can’t be completed until the ongoing WGA writer’s strike ends.
Todd McFarlane, the comic book artist who created the character, will make his first directorial debut. The film is set to have Jamie Foxx as the titular character. Jeremy Renner is set to play Detective Twitch.
