New Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ Releases

Christopher Nolan’s new movie, The Odyssey, just dropped a new trailer, and given the preview, it’s action-packed. The film is set to release on July 17, but the anticipation is already building.

The story follows Odysseus, a Greek hero, as he undertakes his long and dangerous journey home after the Trojan War. He’s trying to get back to his kingdom, Ithaca, and reunite with his wife and son. The trailer shows a lot of the main characters, including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as his son Telemachus, and Anne Hathaway as his wife Penelope. Other stars include Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, and Zendaya, along with a large supporting cast. We also get a look at famous mythological elements like the Cyclops, plus creatures like sirens, showing that the movie leans into fantasy as well as action.

Nolan filmed everything using IMAX cameras, so the battle scenes are expected to look huge and impressive in theaters. Even though Nolan usually makes very successful movies, this one is a bit of a risk. The story is based on an old Greek epic by Homer, which not everyone may know, and it reportedly cost around $250 million, making it his most expensive movie yet.
