On Friday June 21, Nicki Minaj released her new single “Megatron,” which is the first solo song by a female rapper to hit #1 on US iTunes since her 2018 hit “Chun-Li”. After a 10 month hiatus, on Friday, she also came back with another episode on Queen Radio addressing a lot of things going on in her life. That includes her ongoing feud with country singer Miley Cyrus.
Back in 2015, after an interview that Cyrus had with The New York Times, Nicki Minaj addressed the issue during the VMAs and is infamously known for her “Miley, what’s good?” confrontation. Cyrus is still throwing subs at the Queen in her new 2019 song “Cattitude” featuring RuPaul, “I love you Nicki but I listen to Cardi.” Nicki couldn’t help but comment back.
“Purdue chicken can never talk s**t about Queens, but I do notice a lot of purdue chickens lately trying to say the Queen’s name for clout.”
Nicki doesn’t always fare well with other female artist, but when it comes to Miami Rapper Trina, they make a powerful duo. The two recently did a collab and released their new song “BAPS,” set to appear on Trina’s upcoming new album The One, which was released on Friday as well. Rapping the lyrics “I curved y’all boys,” Trina addresses and names a few men linked to her past. The record is set to feature cameos from artists such as 2Chainz, Lil Wayne, K. Michelle and more.
With her recent posts on twitter and his appearance in the “Megatron” music video, many fans have been anxious to see what’s next for Nicki Minaj and her current boyfriend, Kenneth Perry. During Friday’s episode of Queen Radio, Nicki finally gave some answers. “We did get our marriage license!” she announced, and although no date has been set, Minaj has made it very clear that she is finally happy and won’t compromise that for anything or anyone.
