Official Full Trailer for ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’ Released

Get ready for some BIG fun! The official full length trailer has been released for America’s favorite childhood book series. Based on Norman Bridwell’s beloved book series, Clifford the Big Red Dog’s live action movie is hitting theaters on September 17. The book first debuted on 1963 and soon became a staple and first childhood book for many families.

The book series was about Clifford, a giant red dog and his owner, a young girl (Emily Elizabeth) that falls in love with the pup. The trailer depicts a beautiful story filled with BIG fun and BIG Love! At one point in the trailer you hear Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) ask, “How big is he going to get?” She then gets the response, “That depends on how much you love him.”

Collider was able to get an interview with the Producer and Director of the film. The Director, Walt Becker, explained what drew him to the character stating,

“For me, what attracted me to the character, besides it being a dog, was that it’s something that I’d read my kids and was my first. It seems like it’s everybody’s first book. It was just this incredible family adventure movie with a slightly magical creature affecting everybody in a real world city, like New York.”
