Ever since Colin Trevorrow brought the Jurassic franchise back to life with Jurassic World, dedicated fans have been waiting for the announcement that original stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum would return in a major way. During a fan-event screening of the new short film Battle at Big Rock, an official clip meant to show audiences how bad things have gotten since the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Trevorrow and Dern made the official casting announcement.
Plot details on Jurassic World 3 remain under wraps, but what we do know is that the fear from the original series has come to life. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with the release of several genetically altered dinosaurs into society and now with dinosaurs loose in the world, humans are dealing with the consequences of having to share their environment with killer beasts.
Universal Studios has decided on June 11, 2021 as the release date for Jurassic World 3, which will also star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside the returning trio from Jurassic Park.
