The trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black‘s second season has officially dropped. The beloved Netflix anime series finds the Kaiju and Jaeger mecha going head to head.
The show premiered in March 2021 with seven episodes. The second and final season debuts sometime next month.
Although the series continues from the same universe as the first two films, it’s set at an indeterminate point in the future. It’ll also feed off the previous film’s plot. This time, they’ll be a race of monsters (Kaiju), and they will take over Australia. It consists of two siblings named Taylor and Hayley Travis and other survivors on the continent.
The first Pacific Rim movie premiered in 2013. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day. Guillermo del Toro has directed and co-written both films.
