Listen, I’ve got three words for you, Perry the Platypus. Yes, the crime-stopping platypus is back, he and all the other iconic characters of Phineas and Ferb. This show is so dear to my heart for being such a big part of my childhood, and I’m sure it’s the same for all other ’90s kids. Phineas and Ferb won the masses with unforgettable songs, lovable characters, and an ever-changing plot. Did you know that Phineas and Ferb won a Daytime Emmy in 2021 for Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Animated Program?
Phineas and Ferb is a TV series about two engineer prodigy stepbrothers. The show follows them and their friends through summer, while the boys create crazy contraptions. Now we all know that annoying sis that’s always in someone else business they have one too. Her name is Candice, and she’s always trying to get their mom to see what dangerous inventions the boys made daily. I think what sets this show apart from the others is the really strong and equally important side plot. The family’s pet platypus also doubles as an animal secret agent, stopping the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz daily to keep the city safe for all.
One of my favorite thing about Phineas and Ferb would have to be the songs. The music in this show was so catchy and well-written. Some songs have even made their way back to TikTok, like the iconic “Squirrels in My Pants.”
After all this time, an official announcement was made during the Television Critics Association winter press tour by Ayo Davis, the President of Disney Branded Television. Two new seasons, at least 20 episodes long each.
I truly hope these rumors are true, but there are rumors of Jeff “Swampy” Marsh returning. The more original, the better, don’t you think? Unfortunately, we don’t have any more knowledge of the release date or voice actors coming back yet. But, I will follow this closely and keep you updated.
