Pixar has joined forces with Fortnite for a new limited-time Toy Story 5 gaming experience.
Pixar and Fortnite released a new trailer for Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue. The game features a new Fortnite map where players must search for and rescue some of Toy Story’s most iconic characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
In the trailer, viewers are transported to Bonnie’s room. Jessie and Buzz are suddenly pulled into different areas after a strange loophole appears. Fortnite characters then enter the room and try their best to rescue the missing toys.
Throughout the game, players will have to travel between different maps using portals inside Bonnie’s room. During their voyage, they must find Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, and Forky.
Each map has different challenges for players to complete. Once the challenges are over, players can bring the toys safely back to Bonnie’s room. The more players complete challenges, the more special abilities unlock, including weapons and a jump boost.
The Fortnite collaboration arrives just before Toy Story 5 comes to Disney+. The new movie follows Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the toys as they face a technological threat: Lilypad, a tablet device that believes it knows what is best for Bonnie. As Lilypad begins to take attention away from the toys and change how Bonnie spends her playtime, the beloved toys team up to show her why she loved it in the first place.
The Fortnite and Pixar event is available from September 22 through October 5, 2026. Players can access the map using the island code 6059-3243-8283.
