The clip for Rick and Morty’s seventh season teases the return of a certain character. The animated star in question is none other than Mr. Poopybutthole, who first appeared in the episode Total Rickall. According to the snippet, the fan-favorited cartoon character is staying with the Smiths family because of a downfall he’s facing at that time. The trailer also shows the set-up between the Beths and Jerry.
As per the synopsis, “‘Rick and Morty’ are back and sounding more like themselves than ever. It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out! There’s probably less piss than last season. ‘Rick and Morty,’ 100 years! Or at least until season 10!”
The show stars Sarah Chalke as Beth, Chris Parnell as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer as Summer. The former series creator Justin Roiland used to voice Rick and Morty, but since his departure, that role has been taken by sound-a-like actors.
The seventh season debuts on Adult Swim on October 15.
