On Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, DJ Suss One in association with The Feature Presentation and Paramount Pictures returned with the first series of “Dinner and a Movie” of 2022.
The exclusive star studded advanced screening of the highly anticipated horror film Scream featuring Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter and actor David Arquette as Dwight Dewey. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the story chronicles twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders that shook the quiet town of Woodsboro, California, as a new killer dressed in the infamous Ghostface mask appears to target a group of teenagers.
The “Dinner and a Movie” themed night kicked off with a private pre-movie cocktail hour where guest were greeted to an open bar while mixing and mingling among other industry taste makers, snapping pictures and posing on the red carpet.
Celebrity guests such as recording artist LeA Robinson, VH1’s Black Ink costar Donna Lombardi, Celebrity Stylist Pilar Scratch and Award Winning Violinist Mapy along with comedian Mr. Commodore could be spotted mingling through the theatre lounge while others joined DJ Suss One for photo ops.
After the mixer, guests were escorted to their seats which were adorned with personalized name cards, popcorn and their very own Scream t-shirt and mask.
As the guests watched the action packed horror flick, they wined and dined from a customized menu filled with a prefixed dinner and cocktails of their choice.
Every seat was filled with influential people who attended in support of DJ Suss One’s Dinner and a Movie series.
Producers of The Wendy Williams Show, Marco Glorious and Patrick Hester were in attendance in support of their colleague along with the cast of the famed talk show 8 at the Table.
As the house lights began to brighten and the movie concluded – Holiday the Golden Child could be heard stating “I hadn’t seen any of the other Scream movies, this was a great movie choice.”
When DJ Suss One was initially asked how he created and coined his Dinner And A Movie events, he replied “I’m a movie fanatic so why not enjoy it with a few good friends!” and the series has been a success ever since inception.
In true fashion DJ Suss One ended the night by thanking his guests for attending and inviting each and every one back to experience the next ” Dinner and a Movie“.
Scream officially hit theaters Friday, January 14th!
