‘Sing 2’ Debuts This December

Sing 2 is making its way to theaters on December 22nd. The trailer, released by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment, officially dropped yesterday. Garth Jennings, who assisted with the first film, is taking the role of writer and director. Sing went on to earn $634 million worldwide following its release.

The second installment finds koala Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and his talented performers garnering buzz for their New Moon Theater. Buster, however, seeks to throw a new show at The Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City.

To make this happen, he’ll have to get a sign-off from Crystal Entertainment’s head honcho, Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale). Desperately trying to speed up the process, Buster tells Jimmy that the show will feature a performance by a rock lion legend, Clay Calloway (Bono). The dilemma is that Buster has never met Clay, who shied away from society following a life-and-death situation. Buster must find Clay and persuade him to take on the stage again.

The cast list includes Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelley, Nick Kroll, Pharrell Williams, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, Chelsea Peretti, and Halsey.
