The trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 premiered at The Game Awards yesterday. The award show showed brand new trailers for both video games and shows based on them. The main characters, Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz, attended the awards to drop the big news. The video game’s fan-favorite characters Miles “Tails” Prower and Knuckles the Echidna are joining Sonic in the sequel.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will also see the return of several cast members. The list includes Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Jim Carrey, Adam Pally, and Natasha Rothwell.
The movie premieres in theaters on April 8, 2022.
