Warner Bros. has officially released a teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy featuring Road Runner and Wylie Coyote. The first movie, which starred Michael Jordan, ran in 1996. The full trailer will drop this Saturday (April 3rd, 2021).
Produced by Black Panther‘s Ryan Coogler, Space Jam: A New Legacy explores the relationship between Lebron James and his son Dom (Cedric Joe). His son dreams of becoming a video game developer after being trapped in a virtual space by a rogue AI named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle). To get back home in one piece, the duo must lead Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny, and the rest of the Looney Tunes squad to win against Al-G’s digitized players on the court.
The film will also star Portland Trailblazers’ Damian Lillard, New Orleans Pelicans’ Anthony Davis, Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, Los Angeles Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma, Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul, Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi, and Los Angeles Sparks’ siblings Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike. Other cast members include Sonequa Martin–Green (The Walking Dead) as James’ wife, Kamiyah.
