Thursday December 19th, The Feature Presentation team held a private screening of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in New York City. Dinner & A Movie with DJ Suss One has been the talk of the Big Apple and is becoming notorious for exclusive invite-only, advanced screenings. Familiar faces started packing the theater’s private bar, where a Hennessy cocktail list was designed to delight the taste palate and clear your chest. The intimate, lowkey setting along with some liquor over ice was just what some of the guests needed to let loose and have a “Star Wars & Chill” type of night.
LHHNY’s very own Mariah Lynn, Tahiry, Jaquae, Papoose and Remy Ma attended. Lil Mama also popped in and showed some love to the legendary DJ, The Feature Presentation’s artists LeA Robinson, Kofi Black and Chanti McCoy came to support head huncho DJ Suss One at his event as always. International violinist Mapy expressed excitement to see the movie as well as comedians Mr.Commodore, Jessenia Vice, Jay Garcia, Trav-Que, Daniel Jean, and Mike Ruga.
Press flooded the red carpet just before the guests entered the theater doors, where personalized place cards were propped up next to a fluffy pillow and blanket along with a tasty snack. Movie necessities, with a delicious dinner was served—hot, buttery popcorn, burger sliders, truffle fries, and chicken tenders were brought directly to their side table while reclining on their lounge seat. Two of Jersey’s most talented music artists Justin Love and Bennie Bates were in the building along with DJ Fast Life, and Power 105.1’s infamous DJ Prostyle settled in while talking with neighboring guest such as ThisIs50’s Jack Thriller, Black Ink’s Donna and Alex.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is considered to be one of the most epic flicks since the plot hinted to conclude the “Skywalker” saga. The cast includes Daisy Ridley, Oscar Issac, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, Richard E Grant, Keri Russel, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams who work extremely well together. JJ Abrams (Director of IT) led this sequel hoping that by the end, your emotions were confused and your mind was torn. Maybe about what ending should of happened? Or what current ending should have done differently?
Nonetheless, some like, music artist Jyoubadd says she has “never been a Star Wars fan” but the experience was dope. While Van Mack, whose admitted to have seen every Star Wars movie since the Saga began, says this was “the best one yet!” referring to the The Rise of Skywalker that’s scheduled to officially show in US Theaters today, December 20th.
The event came to a close by DJ Suss One thanking guests for attending the last Dinner & a Movie of 2019 with a special shout out to The Feature Presentation Studios, Hennessy and Def Jam for teaming up and making the event possible. What a dope vibe and we can not wait to see who pops out at the next event!
