This Year, DC Studios and Fathom Events are joining forces to make a return to the big screen together.
At the Sundance Films Festival this year, DC Studios, Documentary Films, and CAN Films acquired sequel. Warner Bros will be releasing a documentary about the life of the Christopher Reeve, set to premiere theaters on September 21st, 2024, and will be shown to the public on Superman’s birthday, September 25th.
In an interview, Fathom Events’ CEO Ray Nutt expressed his excitement about sharing the real superhero behind Superman, Reeve, and the courage he displayed in an extraordinary story.
Coming to the theaters
This Sequel is a must-watch as it focuses on the life and behind-the-scenes of Reeve. DC Studios CO-CEO James Gunn disclosed that he and fellow CO-CEO Peter Safran played an instrumental role in getting the film Warner Bros
The debut film “Super/Man”: The Christopher Reeve Story” will be directed by Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedugi. The documentary delves into Reeve’s journey to fame as Superman and his struggles to seek a cure for spinal cord injuries after a horse riding accident left him quadriplegic. Reeve on a wheelchair and ventilator for the remainder of his life until his passing in 2004.
Additionally, the actor’s family contributed to the production of the documentary, which incorporates of the documentary, which incorporates personal archive material to narrate the poignant and uplifting tale.
