Daniela Melchior has officially joined the cast of the upcoming film titled Anaconda, which is set to be released in theaters. Earlier this year, it was announced that Paul Rudd and Jack Black would also be part of the cast.

According to Deadline, the official casting has been confirmed, with Melchior added to the existing cast of the feature film. The screenplay will be written by Tom Gormican, alongside Kevin Etten.
Over the years, Melchior has portrayed Cleo in the 2021 film Cazo/Ratcatcher in The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn. She also voiced Stacy/Spider-Woman in the Portuguese dub of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and has appeared in films such as Marlowe, Guardians of the Galaxy, Assassin Club, Fast X, and Road House.
Creative Directed & Production
The film will be directed by Gormican, with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form of the Fully Formed banner serving as producers. The original Anaconda, directed by Luis Llosa in 1997, was followed by one theatrical sequel, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid in 2004, as well as several television sequels, including Anaconda 3: Offspring in 2008 and Anacondas: Trail of Blood in 2009. Additionally, there was a crossover film titled Lake Placid vs. Anaconda released in 2015, along with a Chinese remake set to debut in 2024.
