It’s hard to describe the new hit series without giving too much away, so I’ll attempt to provide a review that prompts you to immediately head to Netflix.
It comes at no surprise that Behind Her Eyes has taken over the #1 spot on Netflix, replacing the Dramatic-Comedy series Good Girls. Behind Her Eyes was originally written in 2017 by novelist Sarah Pinborough, which quickly became a best seller. Its story would later be adapted into the screenplay we have today by Pinborough, Angela LaManna and Steve Lightfoot. The masterminds behind the series do a spectacular job of setting the eerie tone of this psychological supernatural thriller.
Behind Her Eyes is a moody and twisted love triangle with a swing that is sure to leave you rattled. The story follows single mom Louise (Simona Brown) who embarks on a steamy relationship with her married supervisor David (Tom Bateman). The story takes a more unlikely turn when she befriends Adele (Eve Hewson), her bosses wife. But it doesn’t end there; it quickly transitions into something completely different in the end. This twisted mini-series is filled with astral-projection, murder, and a ton of additional supernatural concepts I’ll leave up to the imagination.
