Bringing It Back to the Beginning

As far as we know, the animated cinematic feature is not related to the live-action films. The next live-action approach is rumored to be a Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover targeted at loyal fans and followers since the 1980s. Instead, Transformers One takes viewers back to pre-war Cybertron, introducing Optimus Prime and Megatron as allies rather than rivals in their teenage years. Which of course, we witness how quickly things turned left later.

In fact, it takes us to a time so far back that Optimus Prime and Megatron haven’t earned their own identities yet and are instead known as Orion Pax and D-16. Additionally, the trailer teases the autobots learning how to transform into vehicles for the first time for comedic effect.
