‘Wicked‘ serves a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz“, really delving into the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba. The Story focuses on her school days and her unlikely friendship with the popular girl, Galinda. As the musical is set to hit the theaters soon, It will continue to explore their journey from the best of friends to enemies.
Release Date: Update
After a worth of a long wait, Wicked release date are finally heading to the theaters. As the film was being announced November 26th, 2024. There’s been a update moving from the previous date onto November 27th, 2024. Only a day delayed, for my “Wizard of Oz” fans, there’s nothing to worry about! This year’s casting will be casted by Cynthia Ervio starring as Elphaba and Ariana Grande starring as Glinda.
Production- Director
The film will be directed by film director Jon M. Chu, known for directing all of your favorite movies and musicals and producing one of my personal favorites “Beauty and the Beast” for its 30th celebration. With such an impressive director at the helm, it’s clear that this film is going to be nothing short of incredible!
