With Herstory In The Making’s soon-to-come release, Young M.A sought to make a starter track that embodied the silver lining, despite others raining on her parade.
And so, she created “No Mercy(Intro)”, a track that static-shocks the planet with motivation, self-confidence then proclaims, “I accept the things I cannot change.”
Without delay, The Feature Presentation‘s very own, Kofi Black takes lead in the production. Starting off, hands are ran up and down the piano. Then, they come together to create an appeasing riff. In midst of the keys finding common-ground, YOUNG M.A spits “Took the coal out my heart. Went and put it on a watch.” But what she doesn’t know yet is that “No Mercy(Intro)” is about to impact the hip-hop scene’s way of thinking.
Following after, Young M.A goes on a tangent about those who doubted her prominence, the flexers and an luxurious life that just forbids M.A to stay committed. At one point she even sheds light on those who say her sexual preference is a sin. To clapback, Young M.A has fun with this one line “But I’m a dyke and she a fan. It’s a synonym.”
To keep the momentum, all hi-hats and 808’s charge in mid-song. Very suddenly every instrumentation taunts those who try overstepping boundaries. But soon after, the beat goes back to it’s emotionally-driven state; proving that with pain comes instant gratification.
Rest assure, Herstory in The Making will be the greatest ever told. Just don’t take her word for it. Make sure to tune in Friday. It’ll be available on all platforms.
