The official Resident Evil X/Twitter account shared two new posters on Thursday. The posters also revealed that the movie will be released in Japan on October 9. The film stars Austin Abrams as Bryan. Other cast members include Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser. It’s being directed by Zach Cregger. The reboot is being produced by Constantin Film and PlayStation Productions. Shay Hatten co-wrote the script with Cregger.
Producers include Constantin’s Robert Kulzer, Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, and PlayStation Productions. Nicole Brown is overseeing the movie, and Dariusz Wolski is the director of photography. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Cregger’s movie will “take the title to its horror roots and be more faithful to the initial games.”
Resident Evil premieres in theaters on September 18th.
