On Tuesday, September 28th, 2022, DJ Suss One in association with The Feature Presentation hosted an exclusive star-studded advanced screening of the highly anticipated movie Smile starring Sosie Bacon as Dr. Rose Cotter and Caitlin Stasey as Laura Weaver. Directed and written by Parker Finn, Smile is based on Laura Hasn’t Slept. After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.
DJ Suss One’s “Dinner and a Movie” has been known for its one-hour private pre-movie mixer where his guests mixed and mingled while drinking endless cocktails and enjoying an array of appetizers.
Many celebrity guests were in attendance such as Grammy recording Producer Amadeus, the legendary rapper Eric B of Eric B and Rakim, VH1’s Love and HipHop’s Mariah Lynn, Moe, Peter Gunz, and Rich Dollaz, VH1’s Black Ink costar Donna Lombardi, Celebrity Stylist Pilar Scratch, and Award-Winning violinist Mapy, Trey Budden, along with comedian Mr. Commodore were also in attendance and could be found mingling throughout the theater lounge while others joined DJ Suss One for photo ops on the red carpet.
After cocktail hour, guests were escorted to their personalized seats which were handpicked by DJ Suss one and assigned in advance of their arrival. Once seated they were given a pre-fixed menu which consisted of an array of tapas delights and goodie bags filled with popcorn.
Once the house lights began to darken and the movie started theatre go-ers could be heard squirming in their seats. VH1-1’s Peter Gunz rushed out of the theatre in awe and could be heard stating “Man, I am out of here. This is scarier than I thought.” While music producer Amadeus was heard Thanking DJ- Suss One for always choosing a great flick.”
DJ Suss One ended the night by thanking his guests for attending and inviting each and everyone back to experience the next Dinner and A Movie.
Smile officially hits theaters Friday, September 30th!
