The “Skulls” out of the bag! The Predator prequel that we’ve all been waiting for is on the way! While spilling the news on the hush-hush project, cinematographer Jeff Cutter seems to let the cat out of the bag, revealing that production is complete. In a post & deleted caption to his Instagram, Cutter wrote, “And that’s a wrap on Skulls!” Captioning a picture of what appeared to be a director’s clapboard revealed the name of the upcoming film, director, and cameraman, date and scene.
Cutter’s deleted post continued stating, “Can’t thank Dan Trachtenberg enough for inviting me along on this epic journey and entrusting me to help achieve his vision for this film! Thanks to a great cast led by Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers and Dane Diliergo and much love to a brave Calgary crew for diving headfirst in with us!” The upcoming Disney-backed movie will be directed by Dan Trachtenber. It was reported at an earlier time that Treadstone and Patrick Aison would write the script. John Davis and John Fox will also produce the film.
Since the film has been underway, not much information has been leaked. Unfortunately, there is still no word on a release date or even an official synopsis. However, we know that the movie is assumed to be a prequel to the original 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
