XXL has officially unveiled the musicians they’ve selected for this year’s freshman class. The class of 22′ will be Nardo Wick, Doechii, SoFaygo, Babyface Ray, Kali, KayCyy, Cochise, Big30, KenTheMan, Big Scarr, Saucy Santana, and BabyTron. Yet, everyone isn’t too happy with the magazine’s pick. Several Twitter users expressed their distaste for these artists. Likewise, they wrote their personal picks for the freshman class.
According to HotNewHipHop, one person said
“Just saw the XXL Freshman list, and I only know two of them n*ggas. Yeah, I’m old as f*ck bro.”
Others online seemed to agree. But one thing is for certain. This opportunity will give the musicians an advantage to gain an enormous fanbase.
The only artists people seemed to have some knowledge of are Saucy Santana and BabyTron. One person tweeted
“babytron clears the entire list handedly btw.”
