Inheriting his superpowers from his father, who sacrificed his life to save Juan Carlos from their family’s ancient enemy El Dorado, El Muerto is a superhero wrestler in the comics. Wrestling for charity, El Muerto nearly unmasks Spider-Man before being paralyzed by a poison sting. When unsuccessful in defeating Spider-Man, El Dorado returns to attempt to finish El Muerto’s life. Luckily, Spider-Man steps in and saves him just in time.
